When is new year's day 2020 ?
New Year's Day
2020 falls on Wednesday,
January 1, 2020
Every January 1,
the first day of the year on the current Gregorian calendar as well as on the
Julian calendar used in ancient Rome, New Year's Day is celebrated. With most
nations using the Gregorian calendar as their primary calendar, New Year's Day
is the closest thing to being the only truly global public holiday in the
country, mostly observed at midnight for fireworks as the new year starts. Every
January 1 as part of New Year’s Day, festivities such as parades, festivals,
church services, family meals, etc. are organized worldwide. Most festivities
end the day before (on New Year's Eve) and go into January at midnight. Some
may even extend to a few more days in January.
